- Operate NM’s internal colour proofing machine to generate colour proofs for printers
- Keep abreast of trends and developments in the repro field
REQUIREMENTS (Skills, Knowledge, Behaviours
- Strong working knowledge of Colour and colour profiles
- Dynamic, energetic & results-oriented personality
- Ability to plan and manage repro on multiple publications simultaneously
- Willingness to work weekends or after hours
- Good interpersonal and client service skills for interactions with internal staff, external clients or advertisers, repro houses and printers
- Solid working knowledge and experience with all relevant DTP programmes – In Design, Quark, Freehand, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and Preflight software programmes
- Strong working knowledge of printing methods and printers’ requirements (specifically regarding colour separations, font embedding, resolutions, electronic layout)
- A formal qualification in Electronic Origination, or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure

• Noue samewerking met die redakteur en opdraggewende redakteur ten opsigte van inhoud
• Help om stories en uitgawes te beplan
• Deelname aan voorbladprikkel-vergaderings
• Waghond oor die stemtoon van die tydskrif
• Waghond oor saktye
• Help dryf nuwe inhoudsidees en vernuwing
• Lees en doen navorsing ten einde op hoogte te bly van die jongste tendense en ontwikkelings in die veld.
Vaardighede
• Hoë vlak van rekenaarvaardigheid, insluitend Indesign en Internet
• Vermoë om in ‘n span te werk
• Goeie administratiewe vaardighede
